Modern romance is like that. With all the lore and conceptions of love and relationships built around us, one strives to go deeper into the sea, cuz the harder it is, better the catch. The depth is created by our checklists, baggage, and fairy tale thinking of the concept of love itself.
You sit on what you could hardly call a boat and wait. Wait for your fishing line to tug. In a sea full of fishes, you sent your well made bait deep. Deep to catch the yellowtails. But the yellowtails are made for speed. You think you’re chasing the school, with what you can make out from the surface.
But you know how precious a catch is. You know the feeling, maybe even through the other fishermen.
If you only looked at the ones fishing next to you. You could have meals better than yellowtails.
