Sometimes, everyone can’t help but feel fake. What is a personality?
The things we learned and kept from our family, our childhood friends, our gangs in school. Things we learned cuz we thought they were cool, acceptable, and made up the general definition of the word. Things that we picked up cuz we cared about them, might even be from people we like. We keep on adding things that we think is good for us in the world.
But the act of adding makes us feel like we’re building a hollow shell around our human existence. It scares us sometimes, when people try to get closer, and you fear they’ll break the shell and see that emptiness.
Oh, what a betrayal that would be.
